My name is Marissa Tiongson and I am the Director of Operations at Tender Home Health. I attended the California State University of Northridge and obtained a degree in Business Management.
I have researched and studied all things related to home health care since 2006. Since that time, I have learned how much this industry can change if we spend the time to push for improvements in set processes. I was able to lead the efforts to get the agency California licensed in 2010 and then accredited by the Joint Commission in 2012. I have become aware of the many opportunities for growth both for the healthcare field and myself professionally. I continually look forward to pushing change in a sometimes stagnant field.
Through this blog, I would like to share my experiences as both a business owner and healthcare professional to help spark change. In turn, I would love to learn from your insight and knowledge of our field.

My name is Pamela. I graduated from California State University, Los Angeles with a degree in Liberal Studies. I am the Director of Community Relations at Tender Home Health where I have been a leader in the company since 2006.
Since then, I have spent an extensive amount of time and effort on and off the field learning about how important community involvement, relationship building and patient care is in the healthcare industry. Through these past years of research, analysis and hands on experience, I have had the opportunity to absorb what I have learned and apply it to areas where constant growth can lead to even greater opportunities. Recently, I was part of a team that led the company to achieve one of the most nationally recognized accreditations – The Joint Commission.
I look forward to continuously learning and evolving with likeminded individuals who are just as inspired to grow as professionals and enhance the overall healthcare community.
