Breast Cancer Signs for Senior Women

National Breast Cancer Month is almost here, and it is important for us to be aware and spread the word about signs and symptoms of breast cancer. According to the National Cancer Institute, older women have a higher chance of a breast cancer diagnosis. Here are some signs and symptoms to help diagnosis yourself or someone elderly that you are caring for –

  • Lump on the breast  
  • Discharge from the nipple
  • Swelling and soreness
  • Nipple inversion
  • Redness of the skin
  • Skin dimpling
  • Other changes to the skin
  • Swelling in the underarm

Regardless of who you are looking out for, it is important to be aware of the symptoms. This month try to reach out to your family and friends to spread the word.
