Gift Ideas For Grandparent Day

Although grandparents probably give the most when it comes to their family, they are often the people who are taken for granted the most. Don’t forget to pay tribute to the patriarchs and matriarchs of your family.

Celebrate them as you would your mother or father and recognize their special day. Take the time to spoil them as they’ve spoiled you over the years! To help, here are some of our top picks.

  • Do some research on Etsy – Do you want to give a personalized gift but don’t have the talent to make anything? Search on Etsy.com for a variety of ideas. Etsy is made up of independent creative sellers who have thought of interesting ways to personalize gifts. Whether your grandparent is practical or adventurous, Etsy has it all in one place. You’ll be able to find anything from personalized stamps to a personalized bobblehead.
  • Create a scrapbook – They probably have all of the digital pictures they can handle, but bring it back to the old school and create something from scratch. Buy a scrapbook and create each page to be different. Think of a theme, and ask your family to contribute. Request a letter directed to them and some pictures to illustrate their relationship. Design one or two pages for that family member and repeat. This will give you a book filled with so much emotion that it’s bound to get them to cry.
  • Plan a family day – Coordinating a time to meet to have some family time can be difficult, but will definitely make your grandparents feel cherished on their day. Plan a day with all of your siblings and cousins, and create a day specifically for them. Think about their favorite things to do, and make a day of it. It doesn’t matter if it’s a day indoors or out, the point is to make the time. Family over everything!

More often than not, grandparents get the last priority. Just remember all the times they’ve given you more than you deserved. Isn’t time they get that same special treatment? There’s no time better than now.
